About me

A bit about me…
I am a very proud Wulfrunian, which means I love my home city of Wolverhampton and I am passionate about my football team, Wolves. I also genuinely love the art of management, its been a passion of mine since I first encountered a truly inspirational manager who had a profound impact on me at the start of my career and has continued to be a trusted mentor.
My formative years were spent in a number of leading UK companies where I honed my skills in a variety of senior sales management, business development, and leadership roles. It became apparent to get the best out of teams, I needed to be a motivator, delegator and strategic thinker, as well as a skilled influencer.
In 2009 I as fortunate enough to move to a leadership role in a leading education charity, Teach First. When I started, Teach First was a fledgling social enterprise with just 50 people. During the following 12 years, I launched, multiple regional offices, developed and delivered the strategy of a nationwide expansion and was responsible for the recruitment, induction and development of a team of 12 Regional Directors. This could only be achieved through creating the right management culture to enable people to thrive so I also developed a range of programmes for aspirational, new and existing managers to learn and develop their management skills.
Throughout my career, I have formally and informally trained, coached and mentored many professionals and I now am fortunate enough to work with organisations and individuals to support them in identifying and achieving their goals through leadership and management development programmes or sometimes just some good old school mentoring.
I believe in getting ‘stuff’ done, but in the right way and so I’m not afraid to ask the difficult questions because ultimately I do what I do to achieve results.
